Displaying your portfolio like a pro on a design hub

I decided to test a few methods for displaying design projects online. My initial choice for hosting my work turned out to be far too restrictive for my needs. The outcome was a bunch of empty views and no useful feedback. I realized quickly that context and curation matter more than flashy layouts.

A thorough breakdown of portfolio strategies appears in https://dribbble.com/.

When I narrowed down to only finished projects the response was night and day. Showing rough sketches alongside polished finals gave my work much more credibility. A common mistake was keeping old student projects alongside professional work. Trimming the fat turned out to be the single best edit I performed.

Three friends in the field gave me honest opinions on which pieces held up. They all agreed that showing real client projects with before-and-after shots mattered most. The recommendations shifted my presentation style completely toward substance.

The final setup shows only eight projects but each one tells a complete story. Removing distracting transitions helped viewers concentrate on what matters. A simple tip is to review your work as if you were a stranger seeing it first.
